Cody

Cody might be the fastest foster fail ever. He came to us as a foster looking for a soft place to stay while he waited for his forever home.  Tragedy hit my family two days before we were supposed to pick him up.  My son's best friend was riding his motorcycle and my son was riding behind him.  His best friend crashed right in front of Jacob and didn't survive.  My son was devastated beyond words and I was so worried about him.  I was broken-hearted myself because I lost a kid that I loved so much.  I almost canceled the foster pick up but I thought it might help to have a huge, happy puppy in the house.

Jacob came with me to pick up the foster and Cynthia helped me get him in my car.  He's a huge puppy so we were laughing about how he was a million pounds at 7 months old.  Something amazing happened when Cody got in my car.  He went over to my son and started licking his face and loving him.  He knew Jacob needed him.  My son wrapped his arms around him and said.  ‘Were going to be ok buddy...were going to be ok’.  The bond was instant.  Foster fail before we left Sweet Paws.  I had tears in my eyes because I knew these two needed each other.  He is so loved and follows my son everywhere. They are so bonded and he loves living here with us on Woodsom farm. I hear constant giggling in my house with Cody and Jacob playing and loving each other.

Happy sounds and such a happy ending to a sad story for Cody and Jacob.  The dog saves the boy and the boy saves a dog.
