So if you are good on the telephone, reliable and readily available to help, this could be a great opportunity to become involved! Adoption Events• We are looking for volunteers to help out with our local events and meet and greets. These events help raise money towards saving our dogs and they also provide great exposure in finding our local dogs great homes!
Fundraising• SPR is a non-profit organization and survives on donations. If you have prior fundraising experience or would like to help organize an event, this would be a great place to start! SPR does have literature and an information packet available.
Home Visits• Are always needed in order to find loving homes for our pups/dogs. In order to make sure our dogs will lead a safe, happy life after adoption SPR relies on volunteers all over the state of MA to inspect potential adoption and foster homes. Conducting home visits consists of contacting the potential applicant and setting up an appointment for the home visit, as well as a visual inspection of the entire property and then sending the information back to the adoption coordinator.
Junior Rescuers• Giving children under the age of 18 who want to help a chance to get involved! Putting together fundraisers at school, food drives, decorating supply drive collection boxes, sports team fundraisers, etc..These do require adult supervision.
