After 15 years of saving animals, we are thrilled to announce the purchase of a 20-acre farm in Boxford, Massachusetts. This beautiful property will become the heart of our rescue, sanctuary, and humane education work, while we continue our foster-based mission.
The purchase marks the completion of Phase 1 of our $5.5 million capital campaign—but there’s more to do. Over the next two phases, we’ll renovate the barn for rescue-ready spaces and launch humane education programs. With your support, we can transform the farm into a place of healing, learning, and lasting impact for animals and people alike.

WHO WE ARE
Sweet Paws Rescue is uniquely different from other animal rescue organizations. We take all possible measures to rescue animals that need help. We choose to work with and socialize traumatized and abused animals that other organizations often pass by. We are foster-based and have formed longstanding and secure relationships with rescuers in high-need communities in Mississippi and Alabama. We also partner and have strong connections with local animal control officers here in Massachusetts.

The animal rescue crisis is growing. It’s increasingly local. It’s not going away, and neither are we.
A Forever Home for Sweet Paws Rescue is transformative to our mission. It will allow us to meet the evolving animal rescue crisis head-on, with flexibility, and in ways that strengthen our community.
In August 2025, Sweet Paws Rescue acquired a 20-acre farm in Boxford, Massachusetts. With your support, we will transform the farm into a forward-looking, flexible, intentional space — one that will support our day to day work, allow us to help a greater number of animals in need, and expand our mission into the community around us.
