High School Opportunities

Our high school volunteering program provides the opportunity to earn service hours for students 14+ and offers students 16 and older a path to volunteering directly with our dogs.

About every 2-3 weeks SPR brings a new group of puppies and kittens up from our Southern rescue teams. Massachusetts law requires a 48 hour "isolation" at our Groveland facility (ISO) before they go home with adopters and fosters. To be ready, we need help Thursday nights from 6-8pm preparing clean, safe, and calming spaces for our pups and kitties. Please come earn service hours by helping us with cleaning, stocking, and setting up! 

We’ve happily expanded the program that allows 16 and 17 year olds the opportunity to earn a spot in our puppy volunteer program. If you complete 3 "ISO Shifts" you will be invited to attend Dog Team training and will be able to join that team to help care for arriving puppies!

Other opportunities for are high schoolers also pop up through the year such as events, schools breaks, and summer. Please email juniorrescue@sweetpawsrescue.org to get started!
